Imbalance

Imbalance is a mission I wrote for one of Star Trek Fleet Command’s Deep Space Nine releases. Deep Space Nine is a much beloved franchise, mixing classic Trek adventure with a much closer exploration of politics, religion and culture. Central to the show is the figure of Captain Benjamin Sisko, a passionate but practical man who suddenly finds himself hailed as an emissary of the prophets by the Bajoran people after his encounter with the wormhole aliens the Bajorans call the Prophets.

Aware of this lore, I wanted to write a mission that involved Sisko actively involved in a mission on behalf of the Prophets, who he often considers an inconvenience. In this case, one of the Prophets has decided he has had enough of ethereal existence and has escaped into real space. The consequences for the Prophets, the wormhole and the galaxy at large if the rogue prophet is captured are dire indeed.
